Unique and unforgettable challenges. Delicious fields for your senses, green mixed with Mediterranean culture of olive, carob, almond, fig. Sun, plenty of sunshine even in the winter so as to warm up the soul a little, allows the golf practice to be extended for this time of the year. Silence, a lot of silence now and then interrupted by soft strokes. Algarve a paradise for golfers. Considered one of the best golf destinations in Europe.

Palmares, designed by the English architect Frank Pennink is located on the Bay of Lagos, visible from every hole and Clubhouse. Lagos, a lovely Algarvian town, one of the nicest places in the country with its streets mainly for pedestrians, with many cultural places to visit and good restaurants where the unique fish dishes cooked in the proper Portuguese way are always present, is a "must".

The magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Lagos Bay, visible from most holes, makes this field wonderful for any visitor. Throughout the construction several olive and palm trees were planted around the perimeter of the course which joined the already existing almond and fig trees. The designer Howard Swan (MSc) projected the field as if it had always existed; it is truly integrated into the natural landscape.

The Penina golf course, which Sir Henry Cotton created and would eventually be his home for many years, it is now a true monument to his memory. The Penina was the first course built in the Algarve and officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic in 1966.

Part of natural landscape, close to the hill-range of Monchique and the tourist city of Portimão, this course makes it possible to play golf in a place that retains the characteristic flora of the Algarve. It is "nature in nature," reminding us that we are in an old Algarvian farmhouse formerly known in the region as a "morgado" ("heirdom").

It is a gently rolling terrain. The property is filled with carob, almond and olive trees, some of which older than 600 years, an olive tree older than 1,200 years being one of the main attractions. Quinta do Gramacho

Carvoeiro Golf is a set of two golf courses - Gramacho, inaugurated in December 1991 and Vale da Pinta, opened in late 1992, located between Lagoa and Carvoeiro.
The former world Nr. 1, the famous champion Nick Price joined the golf architect Ronald Fream to create this uniquely designed 18-hole course with 27 varieties of greens, which provide a constant and different challenge.
In 2005, Gramacho hosted the Ladies Open of Portugal. The greens and obstacles are strategically placed so that the game is genuine and put to the test the skill of the players. In the Nick Price style, the wonderful natural characteristics already existing on the ground, including the landscape full of fig, carob and olive trees, were artfully complemented with water and sand obstacles.
From the first tee shot to the final putt, the player will have to choose the right strategy and type of shot needed to achieve a good result. At the end of the round, the experienced golfer can confirm that played a good and demanding par 72 course, covering a sufficient distance of 6,107 meters.

With its 5615 meters, par 70 is provided with an excellent collection of par 3 holes and extraordinary par 5. The formidable opening hole requires strategy. One 'drive' will have to keep away from two lakes on the sides. As for the rich greens, the grand 13 is protected by palm trees that integrate seamlessly into the landscape next to an intimidating lake. A heroic stroke will be offset by a fairly easy approach. The design enhances the elegant natural beauty. The surface of the fast greens sometimes presents tough contours and some elevated greens have subtle slopes, creating a wide range.
Golfers enjoy stunning views of the Monchique hill-range and valleys of Vila Fria. Silves Golf presents a fair challenge with a large enough sufficiently big margin for less precise strokes, while being simultaneously demanding in the short game.
